The Lawrence Lake Protection and Recreation District would like to invite you to enjoy Lawrence Lake. Lawrence Lake is a 225 acre impoundment of Lawrence Creek, a class 1 Trout stream in Marquette County.
The Lake District was created by the homeowners of the area in 1987 after the failure of the spillway drained the Lake. The District as of March, 2011 is 268 members strong, with a majority of those members being full time residents. The District's primary responsibility is the protection of the Lake and all its precious resources. The District also represents all its members on issues involving the Lake and its watershed. The District has developed a close relationship with the Lawrence Lake Sports Club, the Wisconsin DNR, and the surrounding community. Over the years the District has supported the local fire department, Marquette County EMS, and area students with scholarship donations. The District would like to welcome you to the Lake.
